Jayli's Second Home

Kathmandu, Nepal
After two whirlwind days in Thailand, we hopped on a plane to head to Kathmandu, Nepal. It is here where the majority of our trip will be spent and where most of the design magic happens.
For the past 20 years Jayli has been coming to Nepal to design their hippie bohemian clothing line and in that time it has become like a second home. It was so apparent to me the moment we walked into the hotel, The Tibet Guest House. All of the staff was extremely friendly, greeting them by first name. Liora and Christina greeted every one just as warmly and even the owners son, Jack, was there who brought out tea for us to share while catching up on life over the past year.
It was instantly clear to me that the time spent in Kathmandu for Jayli was more than just getting business done. They are a part of a community, with friendships and families that they care about. I have to admit this was a breath of fresh air, it was lovely to see that business can be about more than the bottom line.
I was only just beginning to understand the bigger picture of why Jayli loves doing business in Nepal. As you follow along on this adventure with me, you too, will see how their business and presence brings support to the community, the people, their families and the local economy.
